Volunteer Opportunities & Application
VIP Program
In 2020, we launched our VIP (Very Important Pits) Program. A select few of our sponsored shelter dogs are rescued by One Love and placed in boarding at Heidi's Village while they await adoption. During their stay, they receive medical care, training and socialization. We need volunteers to visit our dogs regularly at Heidi's Village. This includes walks, day fostering, enrichment and taking them to Mutt Manners training class on Sundays, which is held on site.
Event Volunteers
We are currently recruiting volunteers for our One Love Events Team! We regularly hold fundraising and community service events. They are always FUN!
Short or Long Term Fosters
A few days in a quiet home can make all the difference for a dog in the shelter system. Some need to recover from illness while others simply need to relax in a loving and stress-free environment. Our ultimate goal is to get them healthy and ready for adoption. One Love is currently searching for approved short or long term foster homes. The time frame may vary from a few days to a year.

We will notify you when we schedule our next One Love 101 presentation. Once you have attended One Love 101, our Volunteer Coordinator will meet with you for a one-on-one training prior to being onboarded as an official member of the One Love Army!
